Overview

Oak City Shuttle provides private party bus and group transportation for weddings, brewery tours, birthdays, game days, corporate events, and nights out across Raleigh and the Triangle. I designed and built a complete website that makes the ride feel like part of the memory while keeping the planning experience straightforward.

The site combines event-focused services, bus amenities, a simple booking process, customer reviews, practical FAQs, and a fast quote flow in one high-energy visual system. It gives groups a compelling reason to ride together and an easy way to start organizing the details.

The Challenge

The core value of a private shuttle is emotional and practical at the same time. The whole group stays together, the celebration starts earlier, and no one has to solve parking, rideshares, or designated-driver logistics. The website needed to communicate all of that instantly.

Oak City also serves several different occasions with a focused fleet. The site had to show the versatility of the service, answer common planning questions, and turn interest into a quote without presenting the business like a generic directory of vehicles.

The Experience

Start with the people, not the bus

The hero leads with a real group gathered beside the shuttle and the line “Your ride should be part of the story.” Bold condensed type, a route-ticket graphic, and celebration photography make the experience feel social, local, and full of momentum.

Give each occasion a clear use case

Weddings, brewery tours, birthdays, nights out, corporate events, and game days are explained through the problem each customer is trying to solve. Every service leads naturally toward planning that specific ride.

Make one bus feel versatile

Interior photography and a focused amenity list show how lounge seating, Bluetooth audio, built-in coolers, lighting, and air conditioning turn the bus into a private space for up to 30 people. The story stays centered on what those features enable for the group.

Reduce the plan to three steps

The route-inspired booking section moves from sharing the plan, to confirming the itinerary and quote, to bringing the crew. Reviews and FAQs handle the common trust and logistics questions alongside that simple process.

Keep conversion close on every screen

Calls to phone, text, and request a quote remain easy to reach throughout the page. The form captures the occasion, date, group size, pickup, and stops while mobile actions stay fixed and direct.

Product strategy, positioning, information architecture, UX and visual design, conversion copy, responsive frontend development, content structure, accessibility, local SEO foundations, inquiry flow, and launch.

Why It Matters

Oak City is not selling miles between stops. It is selling a better way for a group to experience the whole night. The new site makes that value immediately visible, gives customers the practical details they need, and turns “how is everyone getting there?” into the easiest part of the plan.
